FROM SANTO DOMINGO

Colonial Santo Domingo: This tour offers an encounter with the past. Interesting stops include the Cathedral, Las Damas street, Alcázar de Colón, the National Cemetery, Ozama Fort and buildings from the 16th century. The tour also includes a visit around a workshop that processes Dominican amber and dominican cigar shops. Trujillo's Last Ride: A three (3) hour journey on Board vehicles dating the 1950's and 60's, driven by chauffeurs dressed in outfits from that time, you can live the experience of the night Trujillo was killed. Also nicknamed "El Chivo- The Goat". Rafael Leonidas Trujillo ruled the country under a harsh dictatorship that lasted almost 31 years, ending with his assassination in 1961. FROM BARAHONA

 

Bahia de las Águilas (Eagle Bay): This is a fascinating tour on a beautiful beach in the Jaragua National Park in the southeast. Enjoy an unforgettable experience filled with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters near the small fishing village of "La Cueva".

 

Enriquillo Lake: Discover Cabritos Island National Park. This Park includes Enriquillo Lake, which is 131 feet below sea level. During this excursion you will have the chance to take a swim in a warm fresh river near the lake. You will be also get a chance to see alligators that people use to create skin cures.

 

Laguna de Rincón (Corner Lagoon): Visit this paradise of birds located very close to the village of Cabral. The lagoon has a wide variety of birds such as the Creole duck and pink flamingos, which can be enjoyed during the hour and a half boat trip. Laguna de Oviedo: This is the best place to watch some of the most beautiful birds in our country. The lagoon is made up of more than 40 islets and each of these is a refuge for birds such as gulls, pelicans and pink flamingos. At midday, lunch will be taken in the center of the lagoon, on the Cayo de las Iguanas where you will be able to see two types of iguana: the "rhinoceros" iguana and the "ricord" iguana. Although large and impressive, these iguanas are completely harmless.
