Residence Visa

  • RESIDENCE BY FAMILY REUNIFICATION
    • Original passport with a minimum validity for 6 months.
    • Visa application form completely filled in and signed by applicant
    • Visa fees INR /- to be paid in Cash at the time of Submission of the application
    • One recent passport size white background photograph, (4*5 centimetres) duly pasted on application. (Do not Staple the photographs)
    • Covering letter from applicant - explaining the purpose of obtaining residency. (duly signed and to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • National Identity Document of the country of Nationality and legible photocopy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a Second country.
    • Medical Certificate presenting a diagnosis of general health status of the applicant and indicating if it suffers from some kind of contagious disease. Must be issued by the relevant health authorities of the last country in which the person was domiciled. In the event that you reside in the Dominican Republic, this certificate must be issued by medical laboratory, clinic or hospital registered by the Ministry of Public Health.
    • PCC (Police clearance certificate) - attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the respective government or Apostille (if applicable). PCC should not be older than 1 year and(submitted along with its translation in Spanish).
    • Birth Certificate. (duly legalized or apostilled, to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Marriage certificate (duly legalized or apostilled, to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Bank Letter : Date of opening of an account, annual average balance maintained during the year, Date of last Deposit.
      (Submitted along with its translation in Spanish) or

      Documents showing economic solvency: 1) bank letter (s) of your savings account, checking account or bank certificates, 2) Labor Certification (indicating your date of entry to the company, position held in the company, salary), 3) Titles of ownership of your residence, business, farm or land, or vehicle registration if you own them
  • RESIDENCE - INVESTMENT
    • Original passport with a minimum validity for 6 months.
    • Visa application form completely filled in and signed by applicant
    • Visa fees INR /- to be paid in Cash at the time of Submission of the application
    • One recent passport size white background photograph, (4*5 centimetres) duly pasted on application. (Do not Staple the photographs)

    • National Identity Documentof the country of Nationality and legible photocopy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a Second country.

    • Investor Certificate by the CEI-RD, according to the classification described below: Direct Investors: must present a copy of the certification of the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD)
    • Companies that operate under the Free Trade Zone Regime: must present a copy of the certification of the National Council of Free Trade Zones
    • The Foreign Companies Hired or Sub-Contracted by the Executive Power: must present a copy of the contract or the official gazette where the contract with the Dominican state is published.
    • Border Development Projects: must present the certification of the National Border Development Council
    • If the applicant is an economic dependent, a domestic servant, guardian, ascendant on a direct line or a child over 18 years of age of the beneficiary, a letter of guarantee must be added where the guarantor (beneficiary of the program) records the quality and condition of the dependent of the applicant for the residence, and specify that he / she bears the expenses of maintenance and repatriation if necessary
    • In case the applicant is a shareholder of the company, he must also submit an Act of the administrative council of the company in original and a copy to deposit (original view). These documents will be presented in original. The income received for wages does not apply.
    • Tourism Development Projects: It can be accredited both by the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), and by the Ministry of Tourism
  • RESIDENCE - RETIREMENT
    • Original passport with a minimum validity for 6 months.
    • Visa application form completely filled in and signed by applicant
    • Visa fees INR /- to be paid in Cash at the time of Submission of the application
    • One recent passport size white background photograph, (4*5 centimetres) duly pasted on application. (Do not Staple the photographs)
    • PCC (Police clearance certificate) - attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the respective government or Apostille (if applicable). PCC should not be older than 1 year and (submitted along with its translation in Spanish).
    • Covering letter from applicant - explaining the purpose of obtaining residency. (duly signed and to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Certification from the government, official agency or private company of foreign origin, where he rendered his services, duly translated into Spanish by a judicial interpreter, with the stamp of apostille or legalized by the Dominican consulate of the country of origin of the document, as the case may be. This certification must contain the applicant's general information, time spent in the company, position held and the amount received as a pension.
    • In order to benefit from the preferential regime established in Law 171-07, Pensioners or Retirees and Foreign Rent Owners must receive a monthly income according to the following scale: The minimum amount of income for the Pensioner is US $ 1,500.00 dollars or its equivalent in pesos.
    • International Immigration Guarantee that covers medical or other eventualities that may occur abroad for the duration of your stay in Dominican territory, in addition to repatriation expenses, available to be acquired through the gmi.do. Similarly, in cases of spouse dependents, these must be included in the International Migration Guarantee Insurance.
    • Medical certification that the petitioner does not have infectious diseases.
    • Dominican and other countries visas valid or expired
  • RESIDENCE - PENSION
    • Original passport valid for at least equal to or greater than the duration of the requested visa..
    • Visa application form completely filled in and signed by applicant
    • Visa fees INR /- to be paid in Cash at the time of Submission of the application
    • One recent (not older than 30 days/1 month) passport size, ( 35mm x 45mm of the picture) white background photograph (Do not Staple the photographs)
    • Covering letter from applicant - xplaining the purpose of obtaining residency. (duly signed and to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • National Identity Documentof the country of Nationality and legible photocopy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a Second country.
    • Medical Certificate presenting a diagnosis of the general health of the applicant and indicating if he or she has any type of Infectious illness. (to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Police Clearance Certificateof No Criminal Background (duly legalized or apostilled, to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Birth Certificate.(duly legalized or apostilled, to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • Certification of government, official body or private enterprise of origin Foreigner, where he/she rendered his/her services. It must contain the information as the general data of the applicant, position held in the company and the amount perceived as pension.(duly legalized or apostilled, to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation)

    • NOTE:In order to benefit from the preferential regime established in Law 171-07, Pensioners or Retirees and Foreign Rentistas must receive an Monthly income according to the following scale:
      The minimum amount of income for the Pensioner is US $ 1,500.00 dollars or Equivalent in pesos, and the Renant of US $ 2,000.00 or the equivalent in Dominican pesos.
  • RESIDENCE - PROPERTY
    • Original passport valid for at least equal to or greater than the duration of the requested visa
    • Visa application form completely filled in and signed by applicant
    • Visa fees INR /- to be paid in Cash at the time of Submission of the application
    • One recent (not older than 30 days/1 month) passport size, ( 35mm x 45mm of the picture) white background photograph (Do not Staple the photographs)
    • Covering letter from applicant - explaining the purpose of obtaining residency. (duly signed and to be submitted along with its SPANISH translation).
    • National Identity Documentof the country of Nationality and legible photocopy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a Second country.

    • Documents that demonstrate personal investment, made in Dominican territory. (copy of real estate titles, documents of companies that demonstrate that they are operating with the requirements established by the ministry of labor, bank certificates in the DR) Rentista with personal investment in their country of origin.
    • Deposit the financial document of the institution from which the accumulated funds come, as specified in law 171-07, in its Article 1 or Bank Certification or Property Rental Contracts or Certification of financial entities such as brokers or Documentation that Accredit him as a shareholder or owner of companies from which the rent comes. These documents will be presented in original. The income received for wages does not apply.
    • NOTE: In order to benefit from the preferential regime established in Law 171-07, Pensioners or Retirees and Foreign Rent Owners must receive a monthly income according to the following scale: The minimum amount of income for the Rentista is US $ 2,000.00 or the equivalent in Dominican pesos.
    • International Immigration Guarantee that covers medical or other eventualities that may occur abroad for the duration of your stay in Dominican territory, in addition to repatriation expenses, available to be acquired through the gmi.do. In the same way in cases of spouse dependents and children, these must be included in the International Migration Guarantee Insurance.

In order to obtain permanent residency, applicant must enter country on the basis of Residence visa. The above mentioned documents are required for residence visa.

Once the procedure for Residence visa get approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dominican Republic then applicant must enter Dominican Republic within 60 days from the date of issue of the said visa.

He must visit within 15 days upon his arrival in Dominican Republic to Consular Section of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dominican Republic and then to Immigration Department as directed by them with all his original documents, which will be returned to him at the time of visa stamping by the Embassy.

PS: Medical certificate should be legalized not appostille and all documents should submit in original.
